William Strauss
often lectures and provides consulting services, on topics related to the
books he has co-written with Neil Howe.
Together or separately, Strauss and Howe speak on such topics as:
-
the new collegiate “Millennial” generation;
-
the new youth culture;
-
generational marketing;
-
generations in the
work place;
-
the aging of the “Boomer” generation,
-
generations and
philanthropy, and
-
the new mood—or “turning”—that is resulting from the
aging of each of today’s generations into a new phase of life.

In his speeches, Strauss draws on his two decades of experience in theater,
and as a humorist, to give energetic, enjoyable presentations. Together or
separately, Strauss and Howe can provide workshops to help a public or
private institution analyze any generational aspect of its history, mission,
or market.
Strauss has spoken to dozens of companies or associations, including Viacom
(including Paramount Pictures, Nickelodeon, and MTV), Pepsi, Hearst
Magazines, the U.S. Armed Forces, the U.S. Departments of State and Labor,
Kraft, Kellogg, such colleges as Middlebury, Swarthmore, and Wellesley, the
American Association of College Registrars and Admissions Officers, and a
number of other educational associations.
